Saturday 6th - Hunters Moon Wassail, The Red Lion, Stone Cross, Eastbourne

We will be celebrating this old tradition in the usual way with dancing, music, fire and ritual, and our friends Pentacle Drummers and Spiramawgus Morris

We'll be starting around 7.00 - 7.30. There is plenty of parking at The Red Lion, and the food is brilliant! (We've sampled it just to make sure!) Last food orders taken at 8.00pm.

Saturday 13th - Pentacle Drummers' Wassail, The Royal Oak and Castle Pub High St, Pevensey

Hunters Moon will be taking part in Pentacle Drummers' Wassail at The Royal Oakand Castle Pub, The event starts at 5.30pm and Hunters Moon will be dancing at approximately 7.00pm

Hunters Moon have regrettably had to pull out of this event due to multiple instaces of illness in the team. However we encourage you still to go along as it promises to be a cracking evening with our friends Pentacle Drummers, Black Swan Morris from Carshalton, Surrey and the brilliant fire dancers Smoke 'n' Mirrors.

Saturday 7th - Sovereign Seas Folk Festival Newhaven

Hunters Moon are back after their winter break and are delighted to be dancing at this local event:

The Ship Inn at 12.00pm & 1.50pm
Newhaven Lifeboat House at 3.25pm (ticketed event)
The Ark at 5.00pm

Tuesday 1st - Sun Up for May Day (Beltane) Dawn (5.15am) Holywell, Eastbourne.

Dancing the sun up on the 1st of May is a traditional Morris event that goes back centuries. In 2018, Hunters Moon Morris will be donning tatters, top hats and sticks
to dance the sun up over the sea.

Stop Press: Due to a fire in the vacinity of Holywell, Sun Up will now take place on the Lower Promenade adjacent to the Western Lawns Map


Saturday 5th - Rochester Sweeps Festival 10.00am onwards

It is with deep regret that Hunters Moon Morris announce they will NOT now be able to perform at the Rochester Sweeps Festival.

This is due to illness and injury in the Side, amongst musicians as well as dancers. We wish everyone who does attend a truly wonderful day.


Saturday 19th - Brighton Day Of Dance All Day

Hunters Moon and many other Morris Sides will be joining Brighton Morris Men to celebrate their 50th Anniversary, dancing around Brighton starting from The Pavilion at 11.00am

Saturday 16th - Pentacle Drummers Summer Solstice, 2018

Hunters Moon will be dancing at 11.30am as part of this Midsummer Festival run by our friends, Pentacle Drummers.

Saturday 30th - Chasely Trust Summer Fair

Hunters Moon will be dancing at 11.30am as part of this Summer Festival run by and in aid of The Chasely Trust

Hunters Moon will be dancing several times through the afternoon from 1.30pm onwards

Eastbourne's own free festival of music, dance and entertainment all in aid of the R.N.L.I.

Hunters Moon will perform the John Barleycorn Ritual dance Sunday 29th at approx 4.30pm
